19 June 2009 - BenexBlock wins 2009 Australian Business Award for Best New Product

Benex Technologies are delighted to announce that the BENEXBLOCK H600 has been selected as the Winner of the 2009 Australian Business Award for Best New Product

The award acknowledges Benex Technologies as an industry leader for the creation and development of BENEXBLOCK H600 and honours its professional contributions to the industry as a whole.

7 November 2008 - Bathurst plant officially opened

The first fully automated plant producing the BenexBlock was officially opened in Bathurst on 6 November. Some 100 guests and media attended the opening, which was the first time this leading edge technology had been on public display. The opening was the culmination of five years work and stringent testing both in Australia and overseas. Media coverage of the opening has sparked a wave of interest from builders and developers. The plant is now producing the BenexBlock in commercial quantities.

6 November 2008 - BenexBlock wins on The New Inventors

The BenexBlock was judged the winning invention on Episode 40 of ABC TV’s The New Inventors program on 5 November. Inventor and MD of Benex Technologies Kerry Bennett explained that the idea to create an easier building method came to him five years ago when as a builder he was continually facing a shortage of skilled workers. Mr Bennett said that the interlocking features of the BenexBlock make it the most simple and accurate building block in the world and it is expected to replace most current forms of wall construction.

31st July 2008 - Bathurst Factory completed in 12 weeks

The building has reached ’practical completion’ in 12 weeks.  The board of Benex Group is proud of the quality of the new facility and highly commends the local building contractors for the outstanding efforts and attention to detail.  We can not complete the outside until we start producing commercial quantities of H600 s in the new plant. Benex would like to thank the Bathurst Council for its assistance with the project so far.

31st July 2008 - Factory Plant Installation on schedule for August 2008

The new plant is set to commence production trials by 20th August 2008 with full production scheduled for October 2008.  This is a world first and is fully automated state-of-the-art technology.  Central Design Engineering, a local multi-faceted engineering company, has been instrumental in the entire design of the building and automated plant.  They have been totally dedicated to the success of the project.

31st July 2008 - A new employment hub for the Bathurst Region

The arrival of BenexBlock™ in Bathurst brings a new employment hub to a vibrant regional city with a strong and well established infrastructure and a steady economy.  Our new plant will have a direct impact on Bathurst by providing employment opportunities for the local community as well as an indirect impact by drawing on the support of the local goods and services in the region. When the plant is fully commissioned it should employ more than 40 full time staff.
